Jordan Olive Harvest Tour

On this tour you will…

6 DAY EXPERIENCE

DAY 1: Arrival

Your private driver will pick you up from the airport and escort you to the Ocean Hotel, a deluxe 3 star hotel in Amman.

DAY 2: Jerash, Village Lunch, & Ajloun Castle

Your guide will take you and your group to Jerash, one of the largest Roman cities in the Middle East. Head further north to the village of Orjan for a traditional lunch in a local home. After relaxing over some tea, you’ll tour Ajloun Castle, built by the nephew of the Arab general Saladin to defend against the Crusaders. You’ll then return to the nearby Orjan village for a meal and overnight in a local home.

DAY 3: Olive Harvest

After breakfast, you’ll roll up your sleeves and join locals in harvesting olives on a farm. A traditional lunch will be served on the farm. After your day’s work, you’ll head back to your host home for dinner and your overnight.

DAY 4: Village Hike

A local villager, along with your tour guide, will take you and your group on hiking trails through the area, visiting ancient dolmens, Roman wine presses, and ancient caves. Lunch today will be in a local home. You’ll have dinner and overnight again with the same family.

DAY 5: Um Qais and Amman

After breakfast, you’ll say farewell to your host family and head further north to Um Qais, known in the New Testament as “Gadara.” Overlooking the Sea of Galilee, Gadara is the region where Jesus drove demons out of a man and into a herd of swine. After your tour, you’ll make your way back to Amman for your overnight.

DAY 6: Departure

This morning you will check out of your hotel and your driver will take you to the airport for your departure.
