DAY 1: Arrival - Cairo overnight
Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will assist you and escort you to your downtown Cairo hotel. Check in and relax with dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant of your choice.

DAY 2: Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum
Experience the wonders of Pharaonic Egypt at the Pyramids of Giza, the oldest and only surviving wonder of the ancient world. You’ll have time to enter the Great Pyramid, take a camel ride to the Sphinx, and visit the Boat Museum.
Afternoon visit to the Egyptian Museum, home of countless ancient relics including King Tutankhamun’s gold. Then take a sunset sail on the Nile in a traditional Felucca boat.

DAY 3: Memphis, Saqqara, and Dahshur

DAY 4: Medieval Cairo, the Citadel, and NMEC
Get to know the historic city of Cairo and its people, beginning with a walking tour of the Medieval quarter. Visit Fatha Gate and walk through Moez Street to Al-Azhar mosque. Experience Cairo’s old oriental bazaar Khan Al Khalili and try your hand at bargaining. Head to the Citadel, and enjoy the history and wonderful views of Cairo. Complete your tour with a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, home to the awe-inspiring Royal Mummies’ Hall where you can view the mummified remains of Egypt’s ancient Kings and Queens. In the late afternoon, head to the airport to catch a 1.5 hour flight to Aswan.

DAY 5: Aswan, Philae Temple, and a Nubian Village
Discover the sites and peoples of Aswan, the gateway of Upper Egypt since antiquity. Tour the Unfinished Obelisk, the High Dam of Lake Nasser, and Philae Temple, set on a picturesque island. Enjoy a traditional Nubian lunch and immerse yourself in the local culture on a walking tour of one of the villages, concluding with a delightful tea session at a family’s home. Finish the day with a sunset boat ride around the beautiful Elephantine Island.

DAY 6: Abu Simbel
Day trip to the incredible UNESCO site of Abu Simbel. Witness the colossal statues of Ramesses II, explore the intricate carvings, and marvel at the stunning architecture of these must-see temples.

DAY 7: Dahabiya Sailing and Daraw
Today you’ll begin your unforgettable journey down the Nile River onboard a Dahabiya, a traditional wooden sailboat. A Dahabiya cruise is the perfect balance between authenticity and comfort. You’ll board your Dahabiya in time for lunch and the boat will sail in the afternoon. Overnight near Daraw.

DAY 8: Kom Ombo, Daraw Town, El Selsela Quarry, and Sailing
After breakfast, disembark to tour Kom Ombo temple, Daraw’s local market, and the Selsela ancient quarry and shrines. Continue sailing in the afternoon and overnight near Bisaw.

DAY 9: Sailing, Remote Villages, and Fishing
This morning you’ll visit Bisaw Island, meet local community members, and learn about their lifestyle in a remote Egyptian village. You will have the chance to join a local fisherman, helping him fish in the Nile. Then sail to Edfu where you will visit the Edfu Temple. Sail during the afternoon, overnighting near El Hegz.

DAY 10: Luxor's Valley of the Kings and Temples
After breakfast, checkout from your Dahabiya and tour the sites of Luxor’s West Nile Bank including the stunning Valley of the Kings, the unique Hatshepsut Temple which belonged to a famous female Pharaoh, and the statues of Memnon.

DAY 11: Luxor's East Bank Temples and the Red Sea
